Page 10 In addition, here are a few more of the many features your scanner has. To get the most from your scanner, be sure to review this entire manual. Conventional Scanning Conventional scanning is a relatively simple concept. Page Edacs Trunking One big difference you will notice with digital versus analog transmissions, is that with analog systems, you might be able to hear weak signals interspersed with hissing.

As you move further away from the system, the interference gradually increases until you are unable to make out the transmission. These systems encode all control information as digital subaudible data that accompanies each transmission, so there is no separate control channel. Users on an LTR system are assigned to specific talkgroups, which are identified by the radio as six digit numbers.

Page Getting More Information Trunking frequency guides will give you a good head start on the other part of what you need to know — what frequencies have interesting content.

You can also find a wealth of information on the Internet Display 6. Resume Key 7. Numeric Keypad 9. One bank must be unlocked at all times. Page Searching Your BCD includes powerful search features that let you discover new active frequencies in your area.

You can save up to 10 custom search ranges in your scanner. This section details how to use custom search ranges and also details the various settings that affect search operation. The st skip frequency entered causes the first skipped frequency to unlock. This setting affects all search ranges.

Page 36 Plan 1, so this setting should work in most cases. I see Bank 1 at the bottom of my display. This scanner has some complicated functions. I don't think it shouldmbe so difficult. I got a few other frequencies in there but once it gets to If there is any other information I can give you, let me know.

I did nothing to change anything. George with frequency Also he could have the scan type set to pause on an active channel for X amount of time until resuming, and it that P25 channel is busy enough it wouldn't ever continue and scan the rest.

Again, I dont have the radio, but ill take a crack at this From what I can see from the link you provided, the Stephenville system that you want to listen to is a Single Channel Trunk Site. The frequency of After that, enter all the TGID's from the list and let it scan.

I can also only assume that the "other" regular channels that you did receive normal traffic on are just that - regular analog channels. Those can also be put into same bank as long as you skip 1 empty space between the trunk system channels only one in your case and the rest of your analog channels.

I apologize if my info is incorrect, but im sure there are other D owners out there that can correct or justify my suggestion. Good luck, sir! Actually the best way i have found to do this on the D Dedicate a bank to the trunked system, put in the control channel and setup for control channel only.

Put the talkgroups you want to scan in that trunk bank scanlist, set it to ID Scan and your set. If you want to scan anything on that system then set to ID Search.

Now if you have other conventional frequencies to enter go to another bank and enter them there. I had it programmed at one time with conventional and trunking in one bank together, didnt work.

So made bank 1 all the conventional frequencies, i scan about 30 of them on bank 1, then bank are trunking for different tower sites. Why do some frequencies not enter as keyed in? I am trying to key in Androx said:. W9NES Member. I own 3 of the Uniden D's. Everyone tells others that you need to program in all the freqs listed but in all honesty all you need is the 4 control channels.

If you are having problems with the sound of the scanner go thru and try the offsets. I was having major problems with the offsets on the voice until I found the correct offset. If you have any other problems please feel free to send me a pm and then we can get together off line away from the pm's so I may be able to help you futher.

Hope this info helps. PM sent I just cleared memory once again and await clarification on what I should do next.
