The default action for a file object is Open. For scripts however this could be unclear. Should they be opened in an editor or executed? Quicksilver solves this by having the Open action open them in an editor and having several Run actions. It might be more common to use with an application, but the Open at Login action can also set a file to open automatically at login time. All items listed in that pane are started at login, the checkbox only indicates if they are hidden when started.
The Do Not Open at Login action removes something from the list. Both of these actions are disabled by default. The Reveal action opens the containing folder and selects the item. This is a very easy way to find what folder an item is in, particularly when finding the item directly via the catalog instead of navigating down to it. The Terminal section describes using the Go To Directory in Terminal and Go To Directory in iTerm actions to open a terminal shell in the folder specified in the first pane as the current working directory.
The actions Rename… , Copy to… , and Move to… are very commonly used. For all of them, the third pane opens so you can select the new name or location.
In the Finder, select the file s to move, activate Quicksilver, and bring up the destination folder in the first pane. The command window will change so that the files are in the first pane, the action is Move to… and the destination folder is the argument. The Move to… action can be confusing. The name assumes the destination folder is on the same volume.
If the destination is on another volume, the file is copied instead. In other words, it behaves exactly like dragging a file in Finder without holding any modifier keys. That's the kind of speed that brings a smile to my face and makes a tedious task quick and easy.
Append to Files : I've also mentioned this in the past, but I update various files with additional information using the Append To action in Quicksilver.
For example, I have a file for blog post ideas. Whenever I get an idea for a new post pop into my head, instead of opening the file itself, I simply invoke Quicksilver and update the file in three simple steps. Upload to Flickr : Another handy task is to upload photos to Flickr using the aptly named Flickr Upload plugin.
I still use my Automator folder plugin to do this as well, but when I want to edit the tags and other various information for some photos, I use Quicksilver. Email items directly : Lastly, I sometimes send emails from within Quicksilver itself.
Using the Apple Mail Module plugin, Quicksilver can use your mail server settings to send emails without having to navigate to Mail itself. Do you use Backpack or IWantSandy?

A small issue. I am not sure if this is a QS thing. The developer himself said it's over. Suppose i am in Space 1 top left and I have a few apps open in that space. Now, if i move into space 2 top right , and invoke quicksilver, QS is invoked in space 1. Why is this happening?
If I invoke QS in space 3 and i have 0 apps open in that space , i am switched to space 1 where it opens. This is incredibly annoying. Switching to SL was a horrible decision.
I have lost my QS. Bien Cornejo. I am having this same exact problem. Has anyone found a workaround or a fix? Or is this going to have to be fixed in a new update?
Brian M had it right.
